North Georgia State Fair

The North GA State Fair is in town for the next couple weeks, so last night we decided was the PERFECT night to take Cooper. Our good friends Alan & "B-Nessa" came too!! It was nice and cool out - Coop and I even wore long sleeve shirts!!! As soon as we got there, Cooper wanted to go on the "Fewis Wheel". He was really excited about going around and around and around. He was SO excited. Well, his hopes and dreams were crushed -- he was 4" too short to ride. :( Hopefully next year he will be tall enough. Here is a pic of the big wheel...

After that dissappointment we decided we would eat dinner. Cooper ate an ENTIRE corn dog and a bunch of fries. He kept leaning over to me and saying "This is DEEEEE-LICIOUS!!"

I must say that the kid rides are really quite lame. Not really sure what I was expecting, but I do know i was expecting more.

Cooper must not have been impressed either. We stopped at EVERY kids ride to see if he would ride it, and he kept saying, "I better not". He did want to ride every ride that was fast and went upsidedown. I'm tellin' ya, if he would have been tall enough, he would have ridden them all.

He liked the big empty pavilion. He thought the wheelchair and stoller marks were AWESOME.

This is one of my favorite shots. I love how he walks around like Pops. heheh

Cooper named everything we came across. I really wish I could think of the names, they were quite funny. And he was DEAD serious!! He named this huge cow (can't remember what), but told me it made chocolate milk. Travis reminded me the name of the Cow... Cooper called it "Karen the Cow"!!
We walked through the little live animal section - and apparently poor Coop is REALLY allergic to something in there. His face got red and puffy QUICK. Because of that, we kept our animal visits short. REALLY short.
In this pic, you can really see his puffy eyes.... poor thing. At the end of the night, on the way out, we walked up to a child sized obastacle course. Cooper LOVED it! Absolutely LOOOVED it. He must have gone on it 6 or 7 times. It was SOOOO cute! He (sometimes) patiently waited in line, gave his tickets to "the man", listened while they said the rules, and raced through it. He's growing up so fast. Here he is waiting with his tickets... I tried to get a picture of the entire course, but I couldn't get it all in one shot...

We stayed at the fair until about 10:15, and Cooper was STILL up and ready to play. I thought for SURE he was going to fall asleep on the way home, but he didn't. He was acting goofy in the backseat by making "hair" out of his blanket. I think all the healthy fried food got to him. :)

We all had a GREAT time, and are actually heading back on Thursday night with more friends.

Fall is here!!!

FINALLY - Fall is here!!! I am absolutely LOVING this cooler weather!! We've been driving around a lot with the windows down. Cooper LOVES having his arm out the window like Daddy...

Flood '09

We have been getting a BOAT LOAD of rain here lately, which has turned into what everyone is referring to as Flood 09. This flood has completely ruined houses, schools, buildings, and even roads. We were lucky, and did not get any water IN the house, and no standing water in the yard. Paulding County Schools have been closed all week for the flooding, mainly due to closed roads. At the enterance to our subdivision, I have been seeing this sign...
So of course, Cooper and I got curious. So we went around the sign to see what the deal was... and came to this...
Hmmm Dirt piles... that still didn't stop us. Coop and I parked the car, walked around the "mud pile", and kept on walkin'. We didn't walk all the way down the road, as there were people down there trying to make repairs.
However, after searching the internet, I came across these pictures of the spot in question. (Thank you WSBTV for the great pics!!). The following picture was taken DURING the storm...
And this is the aftermath.... Cooper saw this pic and asked "Who bwoke that road!??!"

So, as it turns out, the road really was closed for good reason. I just thought someone was jackin' with me, and wanted me to drive all over Paulding County to get anywhere. I was proven wrong. :)

The Beach

Somehow, somewhere, Cooper has got it in his head that he wants to go to the beach. BAD. Every question we ask him, he responds with "Can we go to the beach pwease!!" Its gotten to be quite annoying actually...
"I don't want to eat lunch, I want to go to the beach!"
"Its hot in here, can we go to the beach now?" - (This one was after the A/C broke at home)
"Can we go to the beach and make a huuuuuuuge sand castle!?"
"Can Bendy come to the beach?!"
or the best was this morning when I was trying to wake him up...
"I don't wanna wake up, I wanna go to the beach!"
He did tell me that we could just sleep in my car while we're there, that we don't need a place to stay!

He even sat with Daddy's laptop, and looked at beach pictures....

I think we'll try Acworth Beach this weekend. We'll build some sand castles, play in the water, eat snacks, and drive home -- all for free!!! :)

"Purse"

Ugh, I don't even know where to start on this one. A while back, Mimi & Pops bought Coop a tackle box with sharks on it. Well, he has been carrying it around telling everyone that it's his PURSE! He brought it Friday night when we all went to eat Mexican. He had lots of trains in it, some cars, and even an airplane. Pretty handy actually, because then my "purse" isn't full of such toys. While we were eating, Coop had to go potty, and had to bring his "purse". He even made me hang his "purse" on the hook on the back of the stall door!!! NOT GOOD! Attention all females who come in contact with Cooper - - DO NOT, under any circumstance, call your purse a "purse". Please call it: Train Box, Toy Holder, Fun Bag, hell even Satchel would be fine!!!! Just do NOT use the "P" word!!

Here are some pics of Cooper and his Toy Holder...

"That's how I roll"

Cooper is REALLY REALLY into trains. Daddy and I have been addicted to putting these damn train tracks together. We got some "switch" tracks, which Cooper LOVES. The other day, as i'm watching Cooper and Daddy play trains, Cooper rams into the back end of Daddy's train....

Daddy: Why did you do that?
Cooper: B-Cuz
Daddy: Because why?
Cooper: B-Cuz that's how i roll!

Mommy found this HILARIOUS, however, Daddy did not.

Here are some pics of his trains...

This pic cracks me up... I like that Thomas is also on TV...These tracks have really started to annoy me. I was playing with Coop, and because of the way the tracks were set up, I couldn't get to an entire section. I voiced this problem....

Mommy: These tracks annoy me, I can't get to that whole section!

Coop: Turn the train around Mommy.

Gee, thanks Coop.

Labor Day

This Labor Day, we headed to Grandma & Grandpas, since Grandpa and Lee were in town. Uncle Myles also bought a new bike, so we got to watch him clean it up. (Yippie). After Uncle Myles unloaded his bike from the RMT, Cooper loaded his up... (I should also note that he now dresses himself... thats why he looks like a christmas tree)
It was sooo cute when he pushed his bike up the ramp and into the truck. He even used the tie straps to tie it down so it wouldn't move.
Here is the infamous ramp...
Can you see the red dot with a little bruising under his right eye? Well, he was trying to break a stick in half, and ended up jabbing his face with it. We've decided because of this near eye incident, Cooper will NOT be owning a Red Rider BB Gun anytime soon.

Poor guy cried for a bit, and Daddy, Lee and I couldn't stop laughing. We're so nice.

Coop still likes hunting for antenna's.... The bigger the better...

I was watching the dirt bike washing, and look over and caught Coop doing this...
I guess you gotta go when ya gotta go!!
The bike at Grandmas house still has training wheels, as it's still a little too big for Cooper. I wish I could have caught a good pic of him trying to kick start it. That's how uncle myles has to start his bike, so Cooper decided to do the same. It was SO CUTE!
Here's a pic of Daddy... cleaning Grandma's lights. ;) It looks like he's floating on the bushes!
Happy Labor Day!!!

Baths & Nonsense

Cooper loves taking baths these days. Thank god, since he's now taking them with Bleach. Sounds cruel, but its helping out his skin dramatically!! (and apparently i have some hella colorful bath towels!)Daddy took a picture of him balancing a wash cloth on his head. Its kind of a fuzzy pic, but you can definitely see the concentration on his face...

I took Cooper to the "Ticket Store" last night. Its actually the Shell Gas Station, but he made up a new name for it, since we were going there to cash in my winning lotto tickets. Apparently i've never taken him INTO a gas station before, because he was amazed at all the candy. (Which is quite hilarious, since he doesn't even like candy!) Silly Boy. Cooper picked out 2 lotto tickets for us to try.... they had Harley Davidsons on them, which, i'm sure, is what caught his eye. Unfortunately, we didn't win anything off them. He did get some gummy worms outa the deal!

Side note: On the way to the Ticket Store yesterday, I was telling Coop that he's silly. He fired back with "you're a pain in da ass". Guess I need to watch what I saw around my little guy, as I'm pretty positive i've said that before. Luckily, he's a quick learner, and knows now that he can't say that.

New Hair Color

I forgot to tell this story; of my handsome, loving little man.

I have a new hair color, and this conversation is why...

Cooper: Grandma?
Mommy: I'm not Grandma, I'm Mommy!!
Cooper: No you're not, you're GrandMommy!!!!

After beating him senseless, I dyed my hair.

The kid may not live till his 4th Birthday. :)
