Pool time!!

I don't know what we would do on the weekends if Grandma didn't have a pool!!! The temps reached 100 this past weekend, with heat indexes of close to 110!! YUCK!!! I cannot wait to be able to wear jeans and long sleeve shirts!!! This weekend was a bit of a pool party! Lee and Little Grandpa drove up, so we swam and cooked out allll weekend! Cooper has become quite the swimmer. He now jumps off the side all by himself, with OUT anyone catching him.

He forgets to close his mouth most times, but he's learning. He learns things a LOT quicker when Brodey and Brock are around - he doesn't want them to do cooler things than him! Silly boys!

I must say, he does have great form!!

Wednesday night Fishin'...

Lately, with the heat here, the only comfortable time to fish is at night. Its too blasted hot during the day, but just about right at night. Last wednesday we packed up and hit the lake. We got out to the dock, on the boat, and were halfway out of the marina when it started to pour. So we turned back around, and parked back at the dock, and waited out the rain. It only took about 15 minutes, but we DID fish in those 15 minutes.

Because of the rain and clouds, there was the most perfect sunset...

Our little fisherman is growing up way to fast!! I can't believe how tall he's getting!!

and NO, this is NOT a condom, its a gummy bait thingy.

We never even got a bite on our lines, but that didn't stop us from having fun!

One the way home, Cooper told us that the reason why we didn't catch any fish was because "the fish SLEEP at night". Makes perfect sense to me!!

ROAD TRIP!!

1,200 miles in 18 hours and 3 minutes. Now THAT is a road trip!!! Cooper, Kali, Myles and I hopped in Grandpa's Volvo, and headed to Minnesota for our yearly Midsummer trip. Boy did we have fun!! Cooper did FANTASTIC in the car. He watched movies... well, maybe I should say, he watched the same movie over and over and over.

We left Kennesaw at 5:30pm and got to Big Grandpa's house at 10:30 the next morning. Cooper really enjoyed playing with all of my cousins' kids - and there are a LOT of them!!! We REALLY enjoyed ourselves, and were sad to leave. I took a LOT of pics while we were there.... i'll try to narrow it down. :) The town had inflatable jumpy things set up outside, so we took the kids to play....

What this next picture doesn't show, is what is at the end of the leash Cooper is pulling on. Nico, a white lab, was sitting on Uncle Myles - Cooper was trying to rescue him...

Turns out Cooper LOVES binoculars as well.... he stood at the end of the dock and spyed on people. :)

Right after the Tom's went by, the sky opened up, and DUMPED rain on us!! So we headed back - and after a few minutes, got to see the tail end of the parade at the end of the driveway!

Then it was onto the Beer Gardens for the adults!!

We sure did have a great time!!! Since we only get to see our Minnesota Family once a year, we definately make it a good one!!!!

Brittany's 30th Birthday Party!!

We were lucky enough to be able to celebrate our friend Brittany's 30th Birthday with her. She rented a HUUUUUUGE inflatable water slide!!!! What I love about our friends, is that none of us will EVER really "grow up"!!! We had a BLAST!!!

It took Cooper a good 20 minutes to get over his shyness - then it was GAME on!!! He LOVED playing with the other kids, and REALLY enjoyed Brittany, and her brother in law, Michael (who is also a high school buddy of Daddys). I heard a lot of: "Hey Britt-nee!! Watch this!!" and "Hey Michael!!! Watch this!!!"
