Fixing the Jeep

While hanging out at Gwammas this weekend, Cooper decided he needed to fix the jeep. I helped him put it on jackstands, he put on his safety goggles, along with gloves, and he went to work.

I even got some video... and I wasn't aware that I'm not supposed to take pictures of people when they are working on something. My bad.

What a nut!!

New Addition....

We also have a new addition to our family. Cooper has named her Lilly (he pronounces it "Wiwi"). We got our (Easter) Lilly while we were picking up Daddy's perscriptions. Cooper saw her and thought she was beautiful.
She smells really good too!!!

Staying Home with Mommy....

Last Friday, I took off work, and stayed home with Cooper. Boy did we have fun. We went to the "Jumpy Place", and Ash-wee, Brock, Brod and Lyla even met us there. That place was so cool!! Cooper is a little monkey....
Brock and Coop even took some time out to play with Lyla Beans...
Silly Boy...
I didn't get a whole lot of action shots, cuz Cooper was just to fast!! Good thing there are couches- comfy ones too!!

After we got home, Cooper passed out on the couch for 3 hours. Poor guy was wore out!! (I admit, I took a nap as well!) Cooper and I had a great time together. I'm going to have to do that more often!!

2010 Auto Show...

Last week our good friends, Alan & Vanessa invited us to go to the Auto Show at the Georgia World Congress Center. For some reason Daddy decided to park 80 miles away from the entrance, lucky for him, it was nice out. :) Cooper really enjoyed all the cars, especially the ones he could sit in.
He sat in a LOT of cars/trucks. A LOT.
This one had TV's in the headrests... it was AWESOME!
He wanted me to take a pic of this car with him in front of it.... I didn't realize he would be chugging Sprite.
Finally a "normal" one.... or not...
I think he was growlin' at me??!?...
This was Coopers FAVORITE car... he watched it spin in circles a BUNCH.
We stopped at Steak & Shake afterwards (since the Town Center Varsity was closed), and Cooper dozed off at the table.... course it was almost 11pm!!

Fit Kids - Class 1

Coopers "school" offers a "Fit Kid" class, which teaches the basics of baseball/softball. Cooper was in Tee-Ball last year, and really enjoyed himself, so we signed him up for FitKids... Here is his first Report Card...

Breakfast Banter...

Coop: Daddy why aren't you eating breakfast like me?

Daddy: Cause I have a sweet tea

Coop: Daddy the symbol on your beverage is red like Bills SUPER awesome corbette! Why is bill crazy lucky to have a super awesome corbette?

Daddy: Cause bills worked hard and saved his pennies.

Coop: But I thought panties were for girls, unless they're red like a corbette then its ok for bill to wear them?

Daddy: Uuuum... Yeah ooh look buddy... A school bus!

A Day with Daddy...

This week, Gwamma and Grandpa headed to Phoenix for a nice vacation. So, instead of putting Cooper in school all week (he's not ready for that just yet), Daddy took him to work with him on Monday. Guess the pump station got awfully boring.... and "throwing rocks at fish" was more fun.Cooper told someone at one of the places he went with daddy, that he gets paid with GUMMY WERMS!!!!! What a nut.... guess he's earnin' those "werms"
Cooper had a blast with daddy on monday. Tuesday he got to hang out with Ashwee, Brodey, Brock & Lyla. He asked Ashwee why she ate so much big food, and why her belly was so big. He seemed mortified when she told him there was a baby in there. I think he thought that was a silly place to keep it. Friday is Mommys day with Cooper. We are going to meet Ashwee and the kids at the "jumpy place" -- can't wait!!!!

Nice Weather.... finally

This past saturday we had some REALLY nice weather, so Coop and I headed out to the "brand new twampowine". MAN, that thing wears mommy out - Coop, however, is like the energizer bunny.

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!!

Ash-wee made this cute little shirt, and Cooper made the hat at school...
This cute little guy is Coopers friend at school. I don't know his name, and Cooper can't seem to remember. I intend to get his name today though!
Luckily, Cooper had a much better time at school yesterday. Which makes Mommy's day much more enjoyable as well!!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!

Bentley 09/04/04 - 03/15/10

As many of you know, our Mini Dalmation Bentley was diagnosed with Kidney Failure on Friday March 5th. He went into the vets office, where he stayed for 4 days to get Fluid Treatments in hopes of flushing his kidneys. On Thursday March 11, we took Bentley to a specialist at the Cobb Emergency Vet, where Dr. Lindsey Boozer performed an ultrasound. She found his kidneys in horrible shape, and also found he had extremely high blood pressure. Dr. Boozer put Bentley on 3 different meds in hopes of making him feel better. He did not eat a thing for 4 days after that, so I made an appointment on Monday March 15, in hopes the doctor could give him something to make him better. So, at 4pm, Cooper, Bentley and I headed back to the emergency vet. The doc was concerned about him not having an appetite, so they did another ultrasound, and took more blood to check his kidney levels. The ultra sound proved he had fluid is his chest, and the bloodwork told an even worse story. His kidney levels had doubled in 4 days, meaning the kidney disease was progressing at a very fast speed. The doc gave us two options... they could teach us how to give him fluids under the skin, to keep him going. She said it wouldn't make him "better", and it wouldn't make him eat, it'd pretty much just keep him alive, that his quality of life "wouldn't be good". And they didn't know how long it would work for... it could be a few days, maybe a few weeks. That if this was the route we chose, he'd lay on the couch, and that would be about it. After discussing it as a family, we decided that we couldn't make him suffer just for the sake of us being able to cuddle him longer. We made the extremely hard choice to put him down. We like to think that Bentley was reunited with Tonka up in doggie heaven. Everyday Cooper asks if we can go back and pick up "Bwentee". He doesn't understand that he is gone. A few months back, Gwamma bought him a stuffed animal that looks JUST like Bentley- Cooper carries this dog everywhere.

We will miss you Bentley!!

Speechless

Yesterday morning, Cooper woke up with a dry pull up. (we've been putting him in them because he's had a few accidents during the night). Anyways, as he was taking off his pull-up and putting on his underwear, he looked down and casually says, "I don't remember it being that big".

I REALLY hope he doesn't say these kinds of things at school.

First Day Of School

We've enrolled Cooper into Discovery Point, where he will go to "school" every Wednesday and Thursday. This was his first week. Wednesday morning he woke up, we got dressed, and when we got downstairs, Cooper had me fix his hair. He said he didn't want his friends to laugh at him. I fixed it right up, and Daddy and Cooper took off. The original plan was for ME to take him, however I couldn't do it. Instead i followed, and parked across the street - crying like a little baby. I'm actually surprised someone didn't call the police! Daddy took this pic of Cooper eating breakfast... (He was one of just a few kids there at 7:15am)
I did good all day, and didn't call at all to check on him. (it was HARD though!!). I left work at exactly 4:30, and drove as fast as I could to pick him up. I got there at 5 on the dot. As soon as I walked into his class, he ran over, gave me a huge hug, and with tears streaming down his face, said "I missed you!! I wanted you and you didn't come!!". Yes, it compeltely broke my heart. He then told me that his heart hurted all day. :( Poor Peanut!!!!!!!! I tried to keep it upbeat - asking him what he did, who his friends were, and all that jazz. The only thing he was worried about was his backback and getting home. I took this picture of him when I got him all buckled in the car...
He wouldn't really talk to me in the car except to say "I missed you". He was a little better when we were sittin on the couch waiting for Daddy to get home. He even told us he had a girlfriend named "Fabio". I really hope he made that up - sounds pretty sketchy to me.
Unfortunately these three pics are the only ones we got. I was too busy trying to hold myself together. :) Day two was actually worse. Daddy had to bring him again, but Cooper was SO upset before we left the house. He said he didn't want to go to school, he just wanted to go to Gwammas PWEASE. I told Travis that it was a good thing I didn't take him, I would have driven straight to Gwamma's house. Grandma picked him up from school at noon - so he wasn't there all day. I'm really hoping next week will be easier... hopefully the weather will be nice and the kids will be able to play outside instead of being stuck inside.

"Bwen-tee"

For the past couple of months, our mini Dalmation, Bentley, has been losing weight and sleeping more than normal. So last week, I took him to the vet to see what was going on. Dr. Henson couldn't find anything abnormal, so we decided bloodwork was the way to go. She took a blood and urine sample, and sent it off. We received the call late Saturday afternoon that our 5.5 year old Bentley has kidney failure. :( After talking with the Doc on Saturday, we've decided to bring Bentley into the vets office where he will receive fluid treatments for the next three days. They will then re-draw blood, and hope the "numbers" are better. Depending on that blood test, we will decide what to do next. Here he is on the car ride to the vet this morning....
and here he is 5.5 years ago.. when he was just a tiny lil thing.
We've also decided to be honest with Cooper about Bentley. He knows Bentley is sick, and knows he is going to be at the doctor's office for the next few days. Hopefully "Bendy" will come back to us happy and healthy(er) towards the end of the week. :)

Coopers very first Car show.

This weekend, Kali's class at Chattahoochee Tech put on a Car Show at the Kennesaw Hooters, benefiting Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. Uncle Myles' company was even a sponsor. In support of this great cause, we decided that Cooper was not just going to go to the car show, but he was going to enter a car. So, we loaded Lightning McQueen into Gwamma's car, and off we went. Cooper had to jump up and "check it out" before we took off.
Once we got there, Cooper drove over to the tent where Kali was sitting, to sign up. He hopped out, gave her his $5 entry fee, and received his number.... "5". Then it was time to clean her up. He whipped out the water bottle and towels and went to work.
After a bit of cleanin', it was time for a "break"...
He really did spend a LOT of time cleaning.
For those of you wondering why he has a line on his forehead.... he got in a fight with an escalator, and lost.
There was a boy there that followed Cooper EVERYWHERE. He was a bit of a snot- throwing rocks at cars and tossing dirt on anyone and anything. His dad's car placed 2nd in the car show, so the kid ran up to Cooper and said "HA-HA YOU LOST!!" Cooper just looked at him and said "I'm not talking to you, so don't talk to me". I really wish he would have busted out the ninja moves on this boy, but I'm proud of my munchkin!!!! This kids dad locked his keys in the trunk of their car... thats what they get. :) For participating, Cooper got a hat. He wanted a Red one to match his car.... Don't look Grandpa!!!! :)
And of course, we couldn't leave Hooters without climbing things!!
