Helping Gwamma

Cooper was helping Gramma with the quilt she is making. Gramma dropped her needle and this is their conversation...

Gramma: Oopsie

Cooper: Oopsie Daisy?

Gramma: Yup, Oopsie Daisy!

Cooper: We can't say Oh Shit can we Gwamma?

Gramma: No, Cooper, we cannot say that.

Cooper: Only Daddy can?

Gramma: Daddy shouldn't say that either

Cooper: I'll tell him that's naughty.

I'm glad Daddy is the naughty one and not me! ;)

T-Ball Practice - Week 4

Last night T-Ball practice was SO much fun! We got there early, and Cooper and I threw the ball around with Brock, Brodey, and Ashwee. Cooper was upset that Brock and Brod had to practice with their own teams, but quickly recovered. He had a BLAST running after the balls!
His favorite part is still batting. But he gets a little too excited about the running the bases part, that he can't concentrate on hitting the ball off the Tee.
Daddy walked over by First Base, where Cooper was, to tell him to pay attention to the ball so he could run after it if it came his way. Cooper looked at daddy and said: "I have to listen to coach.... You shccchhhssshh!" You tell him Coop!!
We do not have a game this Saturday since it is the 4th of July, but we are looking forward to next mondays practice.

Boat Ride

Sunday we took Cooper to the lake for a ride on Grandpa's boat. On the way there, we saw a train. Cooper LOVES trains, and told us we need to buy one like that. Mommy and Daddy have been looking for a train to go around the ceiling in Coopers room. He would ABSOLUTELY LOVE that.
Cooper was super excited by the time we got to the lake. Even Bentley came with us!
Mommy and Daddy left Coopers life jacket at Grandma's house, and THOUGHT we left one on the boat. We were wrong... and Cooper ended up having to wear an adult one. (Next time we'll be more prepared)
Cooper and Bentley both did GREAT on the boat. Bentley slept, and Cooper enjoyed all the big boats. He even told us we needed to buy a lake for the house. Not sure how you go about doing that, but he REALLY wanted a lake for the house.
Daddy made a good Captain
We had a blast on the lake, but the no-wake zones are a pain. BOY does it get hot!
After a while Cooper looked and me and said, "I don't wanna go for a boat ride anymore, I'm tired and hot!". So we headed back to the docks...
I think next time we'll be taking a night time boat ride.
We had a fantastic time on the boat, and will defintitely be going on many many more rides. I'm even thinking of investing in a big innertube. I bet Cooper would LOVE that... a slow ride of course!

T-Ball Game - #2

Saturday June 27th, was our 2nd T-Ball game of this summer season. I gotta tell ya, I'm OVER this hot Georgia weather. 90 Degrees at 9am is NO fun! However, I wouldn't trade our family T-ball time for anything!
He looks so cute with his hat, shades and glove on!
Here he is runnin in... its our teams turn at bat!
He's such a handsome little guy...
Coopers coach helped him hold the bat correctly...
then, after he hits the ball all by himself, instead of running to first base, he runs after the ball...

He quickly realized his mistake and sprinted on to first.

Mommy had an INTERESTING time at this game as well. I was lucky enough to coach first base, and seriously wanted to drop kick some of these kids. (Ashleigh, the kid in this picture is the one I almost punted) The boy is this photo, after Cooper realized his mistake and ran to first, was yelling "stupid cooper, stupid cooper, stupid cooper".

Not only was this kid being naughty, but another little boy on the opposing team decided he didn't want anyone to stand on first base, so he'd walk up to them and push them off of it. FINALLY after this other boy pushes 4 kids, the last one being a girl, the dad came over. I don't get it, 2 naughty kids on the same T-Ball team... sketchy.
Cooper really, REALLY enjoys batting and running. He gets really bored in the field. He'd rather just run and run and run.
All in all the game was ok, Cooper did GREAT for the first 40 minutes. I think the naughty kids on the other team were the beginning of his meltdown. Is it unacceptable to tell Cooper that it is ok to push someone, if they pushed him first??

HUUUUGE TOWER

Cooper is really into building towers lately. And he's even more interested in knocking them over. I must say, he's getting pretty good at building them, he even puts a "sturdy bottom" on it so it won't fall over.

Blue Sign

Yesterday, we were parked near a Handicap Parking sign. Cooper asked me, "What does that blue sign mean". So I told him that it is for people in wheelchairs. His response: "So they can park close to the door?". He's such a smart little guy.

He then walked over to the sign, and said "That looks like Tim".

HAHAHAH! Too funny. For those of you that don't know, our friend Tiny Tim is in a wheelchair.
Luckily Cooper posed next to the pic of Tim...

"I have to go Potty!!"

On the way to Gwamma's yesterday morning, Cooper announces from the back seat that he has to go potty. This is our conversation:

Mommy: Can you hold it for just a little bit longer, we are ALMOST to Grammas...

Cooper: I can't hold it, I'm holding Buzz Lightyear.

Alrighty then....

(We made it to Gramma's just fine, and Cooper was able to "water" her Hostas.)

T-Ball Practice - Week 3

This is the third week of T-Ball Practice, and we are finally at the point where Cooper is excited about going. The heat still is a downfall, but this week was a little cooler than past practices. We thought it was going to get rained out, but the weather held up, and practice went off without a hitch. Gwamma, Cooper and Mommy were the first ones there, so we threw the ball around a bit.
Cooper has gotten pretty good at throwing, however still does his wierd side throw.
Not sure what it is about the pink bat, Brocky likes it as well, but here's cooper and his coach... at bat...
Here is a prime example of Coopers short attention span. Here he is waiting to run to third base....
The poor kid stood on 2nd base for a WHILE before he was able to run to 3rd, that he decided he needed to put his hat on backwards so he could "run faster"
I think it may have worked
Cooper ended practice by running the bases over and over and over. He just kept on running. The little munchkin ended practice with a big smile on his face. We're lovin' it!

T-Ball Game - #1

Last Saturday was Coopers very first T-Ball game. We thought it was going to be so nice outside since they were playing at 9am... NOT. It was still hot as all hell. Here is a pic of Cooper with his cousins waiting for the fun to begin... (yes, that is Cooper in the middle... being shy)
Gwamma bought the boys T-Ball Helmets, Cooper LOVES his, and likes to wear it ALL the time...
Cooper is really not a fan of playin the the field at ALL. He would rather bat, and run like hell. He has extremely short attention span while in the field, and ends up picking grass, weeds, 2nd base, whatever is there, he'll fiddle with it.
Then it was break time for Cooper, he gives himself his own breaks... the team doesn't take them, just cooper. He drinks LOTS of Capri Suns (flavored water) ones while playing...
And he's up to bat... lucky for me he grabbed the Blue bat!!! (Whoohoo, last time he would only use the pink one)
Daddy didn't get an action shot, but he DID hit it, and ran as fast as he could to first...
Mommy stuck with him running the bases. He was doing great till all the parents were cheering on their own kids, and telling them where to run. Cooper was so confused, he didn't know who he was supposed to listen to. So he raced mommy to each base (and he won, of course). I'm really not sure why he has to look at his feet when he runs, but he does!
WOOOHOO and he's comin into home plate!!...
Overall the game was a success, Cooper is getting better and better, and is understanding the game more and more. Coopers Coach brought snacks and juice for everyone after the game was over...
After the game, the boys sat together and chatted about the game...
