Pumpkin Patch...

This year we got to go to a pumpkin patch with Gracie and her family! We went to Sweetwater Park, and they had LOTS of things to do!! They even had a little playground for kids while we waited for the hayride.What a cheezer!The Hannah's...The Hall's...Coop found a pumpkin he liked as soon as we got to the patch. He actually found a BUNCH he liked.The two lil cuties....We had a BLAST! And we brought home 6 pumpkins!!! :)

Parent/Teacher Conference

Travis and I went to Cooper's Parent/Teacher Conference. Mrs. Torres told us that Cooper is GREAT in class. She said he sometimes has a hard time concentrating, but when that happens, she lets him switch to a different task, and he'll be good to go. He just tested out of his first sight words list, so that was pretty exciting!! Here is one of Cooper's drawings at the school. Too Cute!It sure does make things easy since Cooper LOVES to go to school!!!!

2011 Memory Walk

We sure did have fun at this years Memory walk for Alzheimer's. We walked in memory of Great Grandma Kenny as well as loved ones of those on our team. The first thing we did was make a memory flower for Great Grandma...This was also Kierra's first walk, and she did GREAT!! She loooooved people watchin'!Coop even got pulled over....There was a LOT of people walking this year, but thats because they combines our chapter with the Atlanta Chapter. It sure was pretty seeing the Atlanta skyline though!Silly lil monkey....Unfortunately Uncle Myles had to leave before group pics, but here is the 2011 Kendora Larson Memory Walk Team!

Trip to visit the Florida Family...

Mimi, Pops, Tiffanie and Joe have moved CLOSER!!!!!! We no longer have a 10 hour drive, but a nice scenic 5(ish) hour drive!!! We went down there to visit, and Gracie's family even came too!! There was a big beach celebration down in Panama City Beach, so the kids got their faces painted. Too cute.

2011 Fun Run

This year Cooper's school and Kindergarten class were part of a Fun Run. Some of Cooper's friends and family supported him by sponsoring a dollar amount per lap he could run. Here is Coop walking out with his class...Unfortunately he was a little pale in these pics as he wasn't really feeling well. That definitely didn't stop him though. Here is Cooper's class, along with Mrs. Vernon and Mrs. Torres.He sure is a fast runner!!!The kids were only allowed to run 40 laps, which Coop completed. Thanks SO much to all of you who supported Cooper in this race!!!! Thanks to your donations, Cooper won LOTS of prizes, including a LIMO LUNCH (that date has yet to be determined).

First day of Kindergarten

Well, Cooper is officially in KINDERGARTEN!! He started his first day on August 3rd, 2011.He even made me take a picture of his shoes...For the past few years, Cooper has been talking about how he couldn't wait to ride the big bus to school. I was CONVINCED that as soon as the bus pulled up, he was going to change his mind. But boy was I wrong. Cooper jumped right on that thing so fast that I didn't even have time to take a picture!!!! I stood there staring at the place the bus was just parked, not sure what to do with myself. (My neighbor found this quite hilarious) I have to admit, I cried alllll the way to work. :)

When I went to ASP (After School Program) to pick him up, he came RUNNING at FULL speed towards me and gave me the biggest hug EVER. He even had the BIGGEST smile on his face. It was such a relief to know his first day was a success.Cooper has been doing SO well getting on the bus. I'm so proud of him. I can tell he's nervous, and unfortunately he doesn't talk to ANY of the kids on the bus. For some reason he likes to sit as close to the front as possible.... and he can't WAIT for when it rains and he gets to see those big windshield wipers in motion. One of our friends down the street has a second grader, and he (Julian) rides the bus, so hopefully those two boys will be best friends in no time. (Coop likes him because "he has cool shoes". Go figure).

Those first three days were quite eventful - first day was AWESOME, second day he ran into a little girl - giving them both big knots on their heads. Then the third day, he ran smack into the gym wall, attempting to "save" a ball. That gave him a big knot and bruise on the OTHER side of his head. Luckily, we've had no accidents since then. :)

Before his first day of Kindergarten, Gwamma took Cooper to Build-a-Bear Workshop to build his very own bear. I honestly didn't realize what a cool place that is!! He picked a Camo bear - and was able to help stuff it...After that, they had to get his heart ready. After warming up the heart in his hands (because you can't put a cold heart in a bear!!), he had to rub it on his brain -because that is how you make him smart! Then he had to rub it on his tummy -so he wouldn't get hungry. Then rub it on his muscles -so he would be big and strong. After placing the bears heart in his chest, the lady sewed him up. Then he was placed in the fluffer (i'm sure there's a better name for it, but hell if I know what it is)Looking good Coop!!!!Then he needed some clothes. Cooper tried on a Braves outfit, but it was a lil snug...Then he tried a football uniform...Then Cooper had to give his bear a name. He picked "Brett" after Brett Favre (HEHEH Sorry Big Grandpa!!!). Once he typed it into the Build-a-bear system, he got Brett's Birth Certificate.Thanks Gwamma for taking Cooper to create and adopt Brett!!!!

Kindergarten Orientation

I cannot believe Cooper is starting KINDERGARTEN in a few short days. It seems like just yesterday he was crawling all over the place. We are so very proud of our little guy!! Yesterday we went to Abney Elementary to meet his teacher; Mrs. Torres. We even found his name on the wall!!Once we got into Mrs. Torres' classroom, we had to fill out some paperwork - and even Cooper had something to sign!And he got a treasure box (as you can see, pictured above). It contained some stickers, pencils, a notepad and a monocular! Cooper and Mrs. Torres talked about their shoes (of COURSE) as well as their pets. Mrs. Torres has 3 teenie tiny dogs, and Cooper told her he has a dog that's as big as a HORSE! We talked to Mrs. Torres for quite awhile, then headed to check out the Media Center... Not sure what the hell Cooper liked about this book, cuz the Constitution sure puts Mommy to sleep!!Then we found our way to the Gym - the ONLY place Cooper is allowed to run at school. (And he DID run!)GOOOOO EAGLES!!!!(He's hard to spot in this pic, but I promise he's there!!)After that, we went across the hall to the Cafeteria, where they were serving Cookies and Lemonade. YUM! They also had all the different clubs set up; Boy Scouts (he can't join till 1st grade) and PTA to name a few. The "Family Fun" board caught Cooper's eye, so we stopped to check it out. He's looking forward to 'Movie Night' (on October 21st) and 'Family Dance Night - the 80's' (on February 10th)!!

Our official first day of school is tomorrow - August 3rd, and I'm pretty confident Cooper is going to have a blast. He's been excited for a few months now, so hopefully tomorrow will be no different. We've had a blast school clothes shopping and SHOE shopping. (I don't know what it is with this kid and shoes!!) We've got to get a couple more supplies tonight, but other than that, we're ready!! At this point, the plan is for him to ride the bus (he's been wanting to ride the big yellow bus for YEARS). However, if he changes his mind, then Mommy will drop him off. :)

Pops' Visit!!!!!

Pops came to visit us for a week!! Unfortunately, Coop was still in Minnesota for most of Pops' trip, however he got back just in time to spend some time with him!! They built a SEMI TRUCK!!I can't believe I didn't get a pic of their finished product, but no worries, I'll get one posted soon!

Now that Pops, Mimi, Tiffanie and Joe moved back to Panama City, we will get to see them more often!!! Thank GOD!! Once a year just wasn't often enough!!!

Midsummers 2011

We made the trek up to Menahga, Minnesota again this July for the 2011 Midsummers Celebration. Boy did we have a blast (as usual!) Cooper and Daddy did some fishing, and actually caught some fish!!Cooper got to play with a bunch of his cousins too. Here is Coop and Kiki...and Coop and Breckyn... silly kids!!Thanks to Chase and Alex, Cooper even swam in the LAKE!! He would never get in the lake here, so i'm hoping now he will!!Cooper even sat on an oversized Tricycle!! We did see the parade, but for some reason I didn't get any pics... same thing with the fireworks - I was too busy swattin' skeeters. :) We can't wait till Midsummers next year!!!

Braves Game!!

We took Cooper to his very first Braves Game this weekend. It was hot as all hell, but we still had fun!! And we had AWESOME seats!!Cooper and Gracie enjoyed cheering on the Atlanta Braves!! And the Braves won!!We picked a good weekend to go to a game; they had fireworks afterwards!This is definitely the first of many, many more games we'll be going to!!

I can't believe our little man is 5 already! Boy have these past 5 years flown by! This year, Aunt Tiffanie and Uncle Joe drove up from FL to celebrate with us!! We decided to have a party at the house again, and HAD to get a water slide. It was too hot outside not to.Coop and Gracie had the slide all to themselves!The day after his birthday we went and visited his new Kindergarten School...HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY COOPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We celebrated Dallas' very first birthday on June 1st. Can't believe she's one already! She currently weighs in at 78.4 lbs. Not sure of her exact height - just that she's BIG. :) She got a new necklace and a sparkly bone charm for it. She's a stylin' puppy now!! Gwamma made her a birthday cake - it looks GROSS, but she ate the entire thing; except the carrots.Stick, Sheree and Kierra even joined us in the celebration!Kierra is saying "WWWOOOOOOW that horse sure can make a mess!!"Happy Birthday Dallas!!!!

May 27th, 2011 was Cooper's very last day of Pre-K. We are SO proud of him!! He's learned so much with Ms Eva and Ms Faith!We filled these cute little bags with goodies from Bath & Body Works. He was SO excited to give these gifts to his teachers.We now officially have a kindergartener on our hands!! Congrats Coop!!!

Easter - - 2011

This Easter, we headed to Allatoona High School with Coopers cousins. As you can tell, Cooper was WAY excited...There was LOTS to do at the High School; many, MANY jumpy things, a cotton candy machine, BBQ and of course, an egg hunt. As you can see, there really was no way to "hunt" eggs, they were pretty easy to spot!Those three stooges sure did have fun on the jumpy things, while we waited for the egg hunt!
I'm pretty sure this obstacle course was Cooper's favorite.Such a cute bunch of kids!!!Cooper and Brock even did the VELCRO WALL!!!! SOOOOO FUNNY!!
Finally, it was time for the egg hunt... the boys were ready!!! I sure hoped they were going to be able to "find" some!Lucky for me, they collected a BUNCH of eggs!!! And all were filled with excellent candy.Uncle Jeffy even got them some cotton candy!!!This was MY absolute favorite part - Brock and Brody Jousting each other!Happy Easter 2011!!!!!

Coop and Dallas ~ the Twins

This morning Cooper asked me to "take a picture of me and Dallas, because we look like twins. Then you can put it on my bwog".

Well... here it is....I'm not really sure why he thinks they look like twins. Maybe because they're pretty much the same height??

Dallas is just about 11 months old. She went to the vet this morning to get her bath. I'm interested in seeing how much she weighs now. Cooper can't wait for us to go pick her up after school.

Silly String

I tried to get some pictures, but seriously, he had it empty in record time!Here's the aftermath...What a nut. After that, he decided to draw on the driveway. Spring Break 2011

Cooper had Spring Break from Pre-K, so we decided to head to Destin, FL. We also invited some good friends and their daughter, Gracie. Those kids had a BLAST! The weather was PERFECT the entire time, and the kids had SO much fun. The water was FREEZING, but that didn't stop Cooper & Gracie from playing in it. Cooper even started to look like an old man!Best Buds...They crack eachother up...He sure does love the sand. He made some sand castles, trenches, and MUCH more.Gracie's Daddy, Jimmy, even helped the kids dig a BIIIIIIIG hole!The Hannah's - Kim, Gracie and JimmySuch cuties...We sure did have fun on Spring Break! Can't wait till next year!!

Lets Build a CAR!

We've been buying a BUNCH of little crafty stuff for Cooper to do. He's REALLY into building things, so this car was PERFECT. He even followed the directions...He REALLY did put it together ALL by himself!!!I'd be lying if I didn't admit he whined a few times though...But all in all, he did pretty good!!This is about the time he got tired of me takin' pictures... HEHHEHE...He shaped up though after we threatened an EARLY bedtime...He did a great job on it!!!!!!!!!

Missing in Action...

Cooper has gotten really independent lately. He'll disappear for a while, and usually we find him in the garage, the basement, and sometimes outside. (I found him peeing on the fence a few times "because he had to go potty". He passed right by the bathroom to go out the front door.) Anyways, this time, I grabbed the camera....I like the boots he picked for this little escape...I sure am glad I didn't find him with his pants around his ankles.

Painting ... again

Cooper and I LOVE to paint. So this most recent time, we set up all our supplies in the garage.What a weird kid...He's getting REALLY good with his painting skills! The paints he's been using are the Crayola washable ones. From now on, he'll be using the same paints Mommy uses. :) Here's the little munchkin taking a snack break...And here are our finished masterpieces...

Dallas - 9 months

That's right, our baby girl is now 9 months old. I took her to the vet for a check up (found a lump in her ear) and also for a bath. She does GREAT when I give her a bath here, she just stands in the tub. However the problem with the tub is the side only goes up to her ankles. I figure its just easier to pay the vet to wash her for me. ;) They also weighed her; 72.8 lbs.

Paint-n-Party --March 5th, 2011

Every other Saturday for the past 2 months, a couple girlfriends and I have been going to something called "Paint-n-Party". These parties teach us how to paint a certain picture, and we are allowed to bring a cooler in there. :) I seriously really enjoy these parties! Mom, Jennifer, Sue (Jenn's mom) and I have actually become regulars at these parties. Last Saturday we talked a couple of the guys to come with us; Dad, Travis, Cam, and Cooper. Boy did we have fun!! Cooper LOVED painting with a bunch of grown ups while drinking his squeez-its!He had a LOT of paint on his canvas, so we went to the hair dryer so get it to dry faster...Here is Cooper's finished product...And the group.....

The other day Daddy had a LOT of work to do on his laptop, so Cooper and I headed out to do some shopping. We went to Michael's and stocked up on painting supplies. We bought different sized canvases, easels, paints, brushes, and aprons. Then when we got home, he had our own little painting day.(Damn this kid sure is cute)He's also a pretty darn good painter!Here is his finished painting.... He was SO proud of it!!Cooper and I will be painting on many MANY more canvases.

Monster Trucks - Feb 2011

Monster Trucks came back to the Georgia Dome in February, so OF COURSE we all went to see them!! We went with our normal group, and this year, our neighbors joined us as well! Apparently this year Coopers ears were more sensitive to the noise, as he spent pretty much the entire time like this...His favorite was the Iron Man Truck. (go figure)Coop knows that Monster Trucks are coming back to Dixie Speedway this fall.... which is obviously a few months away. The poor kid is so excited that he's been asking at least a couple times a week if its time to go yet. Silly boy.

One of our friends, Desiree, had a birthday a few weeks ago, and decided to have a little party at the Roller Skating rink in town. AND her and her husband invited us to join in on the celebration!! COOPER LOVES TO SKATE!!I'm not gonna lie... he whined a few times, and did a WHOLE lot of watchin' while sitting, but at the end of the night, he LOVED it. He wanted us to buy him his very own skates (with FLAMES no less)!We will definitely be skating again!!!!!!!!!!!

SNOW... in Georgia!

Last month Mother Nature decided to dump some snow on us, which pretty much shut down the entire state for an entire WEEK. We had 6 inches out at our house, which doesn't sound like squat to all our family up North, but let me tell ya...... it may as well have been 6 feet. It didn't start snowing till late Sunday night, well after Cooper had gone to bed. At about midnight, Dallas and I headed out to play...Dallas had a good ol time, especially when the neighbors and their dogs joined in on the fun! Neither one of the dogs would sit still long enough for me to get a picture; I quit trying after a while.

The next day the three of us headed up to play in the snow...We had loads of fun!Our house sure does look purdy all covered in snow!!Coop LOVED jumping on his trampoline.Our favorite game was "ice tossin'". Cooper and I made it up - all you have to do is pick up ice, and toss it into the street!! :)He's pretty darn good at this game!!Alyssa even took some pics too!!We had a BLAST being snowed in! We did end up going to mommy's work on Tuesday, but other than that, we got to spend some fun, quality time together! Unfortunately, while we were snowed in, Daddy was in Destin, FL for work. Hopefully next time, Daddy will get snowed in with us!

This new years weekend we headed back down to Punta Gorda and celebrated with our Florida Family. The weather was warm (high 70's) and we did a LOT of fun stuff!!!! I don't even know where to begin with the Christmas post. Cooper got a TON of cool stuff!! Santa came to our house and left some awesome things ...Then we went to Grandpa & Grandma's and there were even MORE goodies from Santa!!! Coop got a new BIKE!!Here is Uncle Myles and Grandpa with the girls -- (Dad has Lucy, and Uncle Myles has Lyla)Dallas even got her very own bed for Christmas!! She LOVES it!!We ended up having to leave Grandma's house because it was snowing pretty good... and we didn't want to get stranded. I tried to get a good pic, but it was kinda dark. The backyard was covered in snow!! SO PRETTY!!! Nothing like a white christmas!!THANK YOU to Big Grandpa, the Foley's, Culps, and Foley/Carrington's for all the awesome gifts!!!

Tour of Trees....

Every year, we do a little "tour of trees", where we go to our families houses, and take pics with the trees. We started this year off over at our house...
Then we went to Jeffy & Ash-wee's...Unfortunately the kids were spent after the first two stops, so Ash and I headed out to Uncle Myles' house....GOOD TIMES!! Can't wait till the tour next year!! (Maybe we'll actually start early enough that kids will make it to every stop!)

Our good friend, Brittany, had a birthday party for her son Bryon (5) at a jumpy place. We got there early and were able to get seating up in a "box" (WAY COOL!)Here is Dad and Myles (with the same facial expressions) waiting for the ceremony to begin...Way to go Kali!!!!Afterwards we all went and had a celebratory lunch, then Kali, Myles, Travis, Stick and I hit a bar - where we were able to play Yahtzee! School Projects

Daddy and I went into Coops class the other day for his Parent/Teacher conference. Ms Eva filled us in on Cooper's progress. He's been doing excellent with counting in English and Spanish, he knows his alphabet and can recognize words. She also said he has a hard time focusing while in large groups, but that is pretty normal for 4 year olds. She also said he LOVES science experiments - especially the messy ones! Cooper told us they made a "rocket" out of a coke bottle by adding Mento's candy - we know all about this one - (Thanks to Cam for spewing coke all over our garage ceiling a few years back).
When I went in to pick Cooper up yesterday, I got to see this project -Made by Coopers very own hands and foot!!!Cooper's class also has a Holiday Program next Tuesday 12/14! I cannot WAIT to see the little guy in action!! Daddy will miss it, as he will be in Destin (at the Skycraper), but I will be sure to get LOADS of pictures!!

Cooper's Class has show-and-tell every Thursday. This Thursday, Ms Eva wanted all the kids to make their own snowman, with items found around the house. Turns out I had a LOT of crafty stuff laying around!! (LUCKILY!) So Coop, Daddy and I got to work...

New House Guest - an ELF!!

We have a new house guest, one of Santa's elves. Santa sent this little guy to us, to watch over Coop and make sure he's being a good boy. Santa even let Cooper name his elf. It shouldn't surprise anyone that he's chosen "Cheese Head" as his name. Cheese Head first took up residence on our picture shelves in the living room. Coops first response, was "what is THAT guy doing there?!" Every night, Cheese Head flies back to Santa's House and fills him in on if Cooper is being a good boy or a bad boy.
The other day, Cooper found him chillin' on the lamp in the foyer...This morning he was on top of the Microwave in the kitchen. He's a strange little elf. Hopefully he likes his name, and hopefully Cooper has been a good boy, even when Mommy and Daddy aren't looking.

This Thanksgiving was celebrated with a few extra's - which are always welcome!!!! Stick and Sheree joined us, as well as Kelly and Dez (Travis' Coworkers), OH and I almost forgot Dustin, Myles' buddy. Mom cooked 2 Turkeys, and Dad and Myles fried 1 Turkey.... for a total of 68 lbs worth of Turkey goodness! Yours truly was in charge of pies... Here's a pic of my Apple Cumble and Pumpkin Pies:I also made a Razzleberry and Cherry Pie, but for some reason didn't get a pic of them!! DAGNABBIT!!

This year I decided to do Coopers Christmas List a bit different. So instead of making a list, I grabbed my camera, and we headed to Target. This worked great till he got tired of taking pictures with the things he wants. After a while he got pissed that we weren't actually buying anything. Anyways, so here ya go...

I only got a few pictures...He got these awesome sweatshirts from our neighbor, Rhonda, last year. Well they finally fit, so Cooper tried them on for us.and Halloween isn't complete without a green mohawk!! (Don't worry, it wasn't actually a mohawk - just a worm toy!!)

Martial Arts

Grandma and I were also able to watch his Martial Arts class. OMG, that was HILARIOUS!! Mr Kenny, his instructor, picked Cooper up by his belt and carried him that way to class. A few weekends ago, Cooper and I got to drive down to Destin, FL to spend a weekend with Daddy. He was down there for work, so Friday after work we headed down. Cooper was SO excited to be going to the skyscraper again!! And lucky for me, it happened to be "Beer Fest"!!!This boy sure does like the sand!!There was also a Corvette car show while we were there too!! (Apparently we need to make sure we are always there for this weekend every year!!). We saw LOTS of awesome cars.And of course a trip to the beach isn't the same without some BEAUTIFUL sunsets!!Gotta love cracker barrel!!!

Coopers First Camping Trip

Yep, we took Cooper on his very first camping trip out at Lake Allatoona! The real reason for the trip was for Brodey's 6th Birthday!!!!! Boy did we have a blast! Coop LOVES camping and keeps asking us when we're going to go again! We didn't know how the kids were going to do, so this trip was a short one - only ONE night. Although we made sure we brought everything that was needed! I should also note that this campsite is one of Uncle Myles' favorites - and you can only get there by boat!These crazy boys got hot, so decided to swim! Unfortunately we thought it was going to be cold, and didn't bring bathing suits - so they swam in their undies!We brought the dogs; Bruski and Dallas as well. Bru LOVES to swim, but Dallas was not a fan. Everytime Bru would get in the water, she'd wait by the shore, so Uncle Myles threw her in....... and she just stood there. What a dork!She chewed a LOT of sticks...Here's Coops undies. We hung em up to dry after he went swimming. HEHEHI'm really not sure why Cooper is making this face, but it sure makes me laugh!!Yup,he's weird.Cooper loves using an "axel". He has a pretty good swing, and was making me extremely nervous. He hit his little shin once too, making it bleed. These boys look worn out!!Uncle Myles and Uncle Jeffie made a HUUUUGE fire. It was awesome!(Poor Lyla Beans!)The boys all slept in the same tent. I loved listening to them giggle!! When we woke up the next morning, Cooper stole my camera and took a pic of himself.We had a BLAST camping. Now that we know he LOVES to camp, we'll be going a LOT!!

Boy did we have fun in Minnesota!!! We all few up to celebrate Big Grandpa's 80th Birthday!! The weather was PERFECT as well. It was a nice break from the heat of Georgia.While we were there, Keenan was baptized - and Uncle Myles & Aunt Ashleigh are now his godparents! Here's the Three Muskateers - they sat so nicely through the entire ceremony! 2010 Memory Walk

At the beginning of the month, we participated in the 2010 Memory Walk in loving Memory of Kendora Larson (my Grandma). This is our 3rd year, and Daddy, Cooper and I love every minute of it. Our team of 25, dwindled down to 4 the last week before the walk. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in my friends, but we had blast without them!! This year the walk was held at 6 Flags! Our little munchkin wasn't too sure of the "wolf" (and was confused on why his name was Sylvester - since that's where little grandpa lives)

Daffy Duck even made an appearance!!Guess it was just a bit too early for Cooper to make friends with giant animals.This years walk was 1.5 miles, and Cooper was a trooper! He walked the entire time, holding my hand. I didn't get many pics :( , but either way, we had a blast!! We can't wait till next years walk!!

The Fair

Last night we took Cooper to the North Georgia State Fair, where we met up with our friends Alan & Vanessa. Every year we go with these good friends - and have a blast!!! Cooper was VERY excited about being there!! After enjoying our delicious fair food dinner (corn dogs)- it was time for Coop to go on some rides. He's been talking about the Farris Wheel ALL YEAR, but wanted nothing to do with it last night. (of course) Cooper came FLYING out of this shark - it was HILARIOUS!!You probably remember this obstacle course from last year - Cooper went on it a MILLION times. Well this year was no different. For some reason this was a popular "ride" this year, and the line was CRAZY long. That didn't stop him though, he waited patiently every single time.We were able to drag him away from the obstacle course to watch the human cannon. While waiting, he saw this guy with a mohawk (wig). Lovely. Now he wants a colorful mohawk.Then onto the Tractors and to see the animals!aaaand, back to the obstacle course...He was not a happy camper when it was time to leave. It was a school night though, so we're planning on going back before the fair leaves town. Besides I want to ride the Farris Wheel!!!

The weather here has FINALLY started to cool off. (Took long enough in my opinion!) Its been awhile since Cooper got to enjoy his trampoline and yard mansion. I told Travis that he needs to build me a swing so I can lay out there and read while Coop and Dallas play. I LOVE this weather!! Here are some pics I took... He LOVES his minnesota twins hat... not sure why it was sideways though.Dallas even enjoyed the weather with us.Cooper has been doing flips lately. This picture doesn't LOOK like it ended well, but it did - he lands on his back everytime. However he DID do a back flip once, but we put a stop to that. I kept trying to get some good pics of Dallas, but everytime I'd try to snap one, she'd run. Little stinker.Grandma bought her a BLINGING name tag. Its got rhinestones on it and everything! You can kinda see it in this pic...I must say, I sure do have a handsome little guy. Every time I look at pictures of him, it amazes me on how fast he's growing. I really wish he'd stay little forever, but at the same time, I've REALLY enjoyed watching him grow. He told me the reason his hands are in the air, is because "that's what big boys do". I asked him if big girls did that, and he quickly told me: "no, girls have to hold on so they aren't scared". Good thing we cleared that up.After we took a bath, Cooper RANDOMLY kept saying that he wanted a mohawk. Apparently one of his friends at school has one. Anyways, so Daddy and Cooper decided to google some pictures of mohawks. This pic cracks me up - they look like twins!!

MONSTER TRUCKS!!!!!!

A few times a year, Monster Trucks come to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock - only a short drive from the house. Cooper has never been to Dixie Speedway, so we packed a cooler, some of his Monster Trucks, and even brought Grandma, who hasn't seen the races. Boy did we have a blast. We got there early enough that we were able to bring Cooper down to the pits - which he LOVED. We got his picture taken in front of ever truck there.... This was Coopers favorite - War Wizard And the Ground Pounder...Cult ...Gunslinger...

Which is weird, because he never covers his ears when we go see these trucks at the dome.He played in the dirt a LOT while the real monster trucks were racing. Dallas - 3.5 Months

A couple weekends ago Daddy had a Water Feature to check on, so Cooper and I tagged along. Cooper is a BIG helper!!The water feature was pretty cool too, I wouldn't mind having one in the backyard!! :)Then he found a butterfly... that kept him entertained for awhile!! He even told to me "take a picture of me and my fwiend!!"He randomly pulled this sprinkler out of the ground... Yup... definitely his father's son!When we got back to the truck, Cooper says "I'm gonna wear these next time we have to fix somefing". We took a look back there to see what he was talking about.... What a nut.

Martial Arts

For the past few Friday's Cooper has been taking Martial Arts classes. So far, he LOVES it! I know there is a name for his Robe, but hell if I know what it is, so we'll call it a Robe!! This is back from August, but I completely forgot to post about it!! While mommy was Bowling, Cooper talked Daddy into taking him to Stevie B's for dinner, because he wanted Pizza. Right next door to Stevie B's is a "pool place" that sells pool supplies as well as boats and other toys. Come to find out - the pizza was just a bonus... what he REALLY wanted was a boat from the Pool Place. And Daddy has a HARD time saying No!! :)

Scholastic Books

One of my favorite parts of Cooper now going to school is when its Scholastic Book time! I remember this from when I was in school, and I absolutely loved getting books. Scholastic probably has a huge part in why I love to read so much. Hopefully it'll have the same effect of Coop. The teachers sent home order forms, and we got busy ordering. Grandma even ordered two books for him. Cooper had no idea we were ordering them and was SO surprised when the teachers handed them out last week. Once he got home, he spread them all out on Daddy's tailgate... Then he told Daddy: "OOOOOOOH. My goodness. I've got soo many books you won't even remember that its my bed time!"

Weekend Trip to Sandestin

Daddy was in Sandestin for an entire week, so on the last weekend he was there, Cooper and I loaded up the car and drove down to enjoy the beach for a few days. Unfortunately, we only had 2.5 hours of beach time - it rained the rest of the time. We had fun anyways though!! Cooper LOVES staying in "skyscrapers". Rylan's First Birthday Party

Good friends of ours, Redneck John and Hollie, threw their little guy, Rylan, his first birthay party. TOO CUTE! It was a Cat in the Hat theme!! Cooper was shy for pretty much the whole party. He wouldn't pin the tail on the donkey, bob for apples, or even pull a ribbon on the pinata. We still had sooo much fun!!

There was a really cool river and train bridge next to the building where the party was held, so of COURSE Cooper had to check it out!!

Miss Lucy even got to spend time with Dallas. We took a pic because we figure this will be the ONLY time Dallas is a WEEE bit smaller than Lucy.

Sunday Morning Fishin'...

Last Sunday we decided it was time to do some quality Sunday Morning Fishin'. We even brought Dallas, who LOVES the boat!!! It sure did get hot QUICK, but here are some pics from our morning on the lake...

It got so hot, that we let him take his life jacket off...

First Day of School... The pick up

Picking up Cooper from school was FANTASTIC yesterday!! He was playing in his classroom with three of his friends, and they were having a good ol time! He even showed me where we live on a globe!! I brought him a Cherry Coke to celebrate his first day, and here are the pics I took...

I cannot believe how soon school starts these days!! I remember not going back till after Labor Day.... and here it is, beginning of AUGUST, and we're back in school!! Strange!!

Cooper's day started off ok, we took some pics outside while we were feeding Dallas...

Then we went to McDonald's for breakfast...

We finally made it to school at 7:40 - perfect timing!! He even let me take a picture out front...
He was ok till we walked into his new classroom... he had just gotten used to the last one. He had some tears, but we put his blanket into his cubby, and he gave me a HUUUUGE hug. He was still crying a bit when I left him, but with any luck, that didn't last long. I hope his first day went off without a hitch!!!! Today starts his FULL time school status. He'll be going EVERY day! My baby is definitely NOT a baby anymore!! :(

The kid has a sense of humor... that's for sure!

It's a GIRL!!!

That's right, It's a GIRL!!! We have a new member of our family! She is an 8 week old Blue Great Dane pup. We've named her Dallas. Her birthdate is 06/21/2010. Two nights before we picked her up, we hit Pet Co for some supplies. We purchased dog collars (2 of them, cuz our baby girl WILL grow fast), a leash, and two ginormous food/water dishes. Cooper even picked out a couple toys for "his new puppy". We got to the cash register, and Cooper told the lady, "I'm getting a new baby puppy. She's REALLLY tiny". The cashier thought it was hilarious that we were buying HUGE dishes for this "tiny" puppy. Too cute. Sunday morning we woke up SUPER early to head down by the Atlanta Airport to meet our new baby. We were supposed to meet at 7:30 OUR time, however the breeder meant to tell me HER time (they live in Alabama), so needless to say, the hour and half we waited, seemed to last FOREVER. Here are a few pics of Cooper patiently waiting.

Boy was Cooper excited when the breeders arrived. They had a total of 4 puppies with them; ours and 3 others - which were flying to Pennsylvania, New York, and Delaware. Cooper LOVED Dallas from the minute he layed eyes on her. He even told the breeder "my bwentee is up in heaven (as he points to the sky). He was sick, will my new puppy get sick??" (our poor child is too smart) I thought Debbie was going to cry, but she told Cooper that our puppy will not get sick, and that she will be his best friend in the whole world. Cooper seemed happy with that answer. After we set her in the back with Cooper, I tried to take a pic... but Cooper told me "Dawwas" doesn't like her picture taken. Thats why his cute little hand is in the pic. He was "blocking" her from my camera. (What a goofball)

He was really excited that his new puppy was sitting in the back with him watching Spongebob. I didn't take anymore pics in the car, as Cooper told me I was scaring her. It was free game though when we got home.

She sure is a pretty lil thing... and I LOVE the collar we picked out. It matches her color perfectly (wow, that sounded retarded!) She LOVES to cuddle, which I LOVE, however I know I will regret it when she's bigger. We've been doing VERY well on keeping her off the couch. I don't want her hoggin' the hole thing, so I found a HUGE bed for her on Overstock, which will be here Friday.

She stays in the backyard during the day, and Cooper worries about her. Believe it or not, she does REALLY well back there though!!

We held onto Bentley's old bed (couldn't bring ourselves to get rid of it), so Dallas has been sleeping in it. She doesn't seem to mind at all that there is another dogs hair all over it. She even plays with all of his old toys!

In looking at this next pic, I realize that we need to do some weeding!!! HA!!!

She's really looking forward to meeting the other 4-legged kids in our extended families. She can't wait to meet Red, Bruski and Teak!!
